On February 21, 2023, located at the Alobi Animal Rescue Center, Kampoeng Reclamation of Timah Air Jangkang, Alobi Foundation hosted a school field trip from SD Dian Harapan Bangka which was attended by 70 children and was accompanied by 5 teaching staff. Alobi Wildlife Center is the ideal venue for these young generation to learn about the awareness and importance of wildlife in Bangka Belitung.
The visit was an important moment for the children to get to know several species of protected animals that are in Alobi Wildlife Centre.
Alobi Foundation team provides education to children about protected animals and the important role animals play in the environment and the balance of natural ecosystems. Alobi Foundation team also conveyed the importance of the message discouraging the keeping of wild animals as pets. This aims to form a conservation spirit for children from an early age, so that in the future they can get to know animals better and take part in protecting them in nature.
In the near future, these children will be ready to become the next generation of guardians and protectors of this wildlife.
