August 11, 2024

Alobi Foundation & Bksda South Sumatra found a delivery of one Bangka Endemic Slow Loris “Nycticebus Bancanus” from Mrs. Eni Wulandari, a resident of Bukit Berang, Mangkol Village, Pangkalan Baru District, Central Bangka Regency. Previously, the slow loris had been kept for 6 months by Mrs. Eni, the female slow loris was found entering a resident’s yard and is currently being treated at the Alobi Wildlife Rescue Center, Kampong Reklamasi Timah Air Jangkang.
In the last few months, the delivery of slow lorises has increased to the Alobi Foundation, one of the contributing factors is the loss and narrowing of the Slow Loris Habitat in Bangka Belitung Province due to the conversion of forest areas into plantations and mining.

Save the Endemic Animals of Bangka,
“Nycticebus Bancanus” before they become completely extinct in the wild in the Province of Bangka Belitung
